I thank the member
for some notice of this question.
(1) The subject land is held in freehold
title by the Electricity Networks Corporation, trading as Western Power. The
site was identified through the land asset sales program. The Western Power
board informed the Department of Lands in early 2015 that Western Power was
divesting the site separately to the land asset sales program, in accordance
with its board directive and legislative powers.
(2) Western Power
sold the freehold land on the open market and it is currently under contract.
(3) There is no record on the Department of
Environment Regulation's contaminated sites database of the site being
classified under the Contaminated Sites Act.
(4) The subject land is zoned ''urban''
under the metropolitan region scheme. It is zoned ''urban development''
and ''bushfire prone area'' under the Shire of Kalamunda local
planning scheme 3.
(5) Western Power
will receive the full proceeds from the sale of this land.
