893. Hon Tjorn Sibma to
the minister representing the Minister for
Electoral Affairs:
I refer to the local
government elections.
(1) Is the minister aware of the estimated 500
missing ballots at the Cockburn district election?
(2) Has the minister received a brief on the
missing ballots? If so, will she table the briefing?
(3) Is the minister aware of any other
irregularities during last weekend's elections?
(4) If yes to (3), will the minister please table
a complete list of these irregularities?

I thank the member
for some notice of the question. The following answer has been provided to me
by the Minister for Electoral Affairs.
(1)–(4) There were no missing ballots for
the Cockburn district election. The minister looks forward to a full debrief
with the acting Electoral Commissioner and the Minister for Local Government once
the count process has been finalised and all results have been declared.
