307. Hon KATE DOUST to the
Minister for Commerce:
(1) Has the minister adopted any of the
recommendations of the Economic Regulation Authority report into home indemnity
insurance that was tabled in September 2013?
(2) If yes to (1),
which ones?
(3) Did the ERA
report go to cabinet; and, if so, on what date?
(4) Did any
ministers exclude themselves from the cabinet deliberations?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the question.
(1) Yes.
(2) Recommendations 3, 9 and 10 were
adopted. Recommendation 11 has been adopted and consideration is being given to
an appropriate means of data collection and reporting.
(3) Yes. The final report was considered by cabinet on 10 September
2013.
