I refer to the Treasurer's and Premier's
statement of 26 September 2012 announcing an immediate lowering of the ceiling
of full-time employees and a 1.5 per cent reduction in the 2012–13
budget for consumables.
(1) What is
the revised FTE ceiling as a result of the announcement in each of the
following service areas —
(a) supporting children and young
people in the CEO's care;
(b) protecting children and young
people from abuse and harm; and
(c) supporting individuals and
families at risk or in crisis?
(2) What was the vacancy level in each of those service areas
at the time of the announcement?
(3) What is
the dollar figure of the 1.5 per cent cut in purchasing consumables in each of
those service areas?

have been apportioned across all three services.
(a) The revised FTE ceiling is 1 085.5.
(b) The revised FTE ceiling is
743.0.
(c) The revised FTE ceiling is
398.5.
(2) Vacancies
are managed at a district/location level and not by service areas as identified
in 1(a)–(c). The department is unable to provide vacancy information by
these service areas.
(3) A $1.217 million
reduction in expenditure on the procurement of goods and services in 2012–13
was approved by cabinet. This reduction is yet to be allocated across service
areas.
