1275. Hon Phil Twiss to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Transport:
Further to my
question without notice 1249 of 9 December 2025 about Garden Island Highway feasibility
studies, in which the minister answered that outcomes of the completed study were
provided by Main Roads to the defence industries section of the Department of
Energy and Economic Diversification in early September, I ask the following.
(1) On what date in September were the provided
outcomes delivered to DEED?
(2) Will the minister provide a copy of the
completed Main Roads study mentioned in the minister's answer to the house?
(3) If no to (2), can the outcome of the study
that was provided to DEED be provided to the house?
(4) If no to (3), why not?
(5) Has a decision been made to proceed with
construction of Garden Island Highway and, if so, what is the anticipated
timeline for commencement and completion?
