244. Hon BEN DAWKINS to the Minister for Medical Research:
I refer to the website of the Animal
Resources Centre, www.arc.wa.gov.au.
(1) Can the
minister advise why the website www.arc.wa.gov.au redirects to the private
company Ozgene Pty Ltd, which offers custom genetically designed mice and rats
for research purposes?
(2) Can the
minister advise why there is a contact number in the Cayman Islands on the
www.arc.wa.gov.au website?
(3) What is the
nature of the ongoing relationship between Ozgene Pty Ltd and the WA government
that allows the company to gain the benefit of a wa.gov.au domain?

ARC.
