I refer the minister to the appointment of Ms Helen Creed to the position of Fair Employment Advocate. (1) Was the position advertised; if so, will the minister table the advertisement and indicate where and when the position was advertised; and, if not, why not? (2) Was there more than one applicant; and, if so, did any permanent public servants apply? (3) Who were the members of the panel that recommended Ms Creed’s appointment? Applications closed on 26 February 2007. (2) There was more than one applicant. Details of applicants are confidential. (3) The selection panel comprised Brian Bradley, the Director General of the Department of Consumer and Employment Protection, as chairperson; Susan Barrera, the executive director of labour relations in the Department of Consumer and Employment Protection; and Tarna Bulman, the manager of the Employment Law Centre of WA.
