NATIONAL ASSESSMENT PROGRAM — LITERACY AND
NUMERACY — ONLINE SYSTEM
801. Hon SUE ELLERY to the Minister for
Education:
I refer to plans to conduct the
National Assessment Program — Literacy and Numeracy online.
(1) Has there been any change in the
expected date to roll that out in WA?
(2) What are the
issues to date that the department has identified that are still to be
addressed before all WA public schools are ready to go online?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of this question.
(1) No.
(2) A national
trial of the system for NAPLAN online is underway. The purpose of the trial is
to assess both the readiness of the system delivering the test and the readiness
of the schools participating in the trial. Results from the trial will be
considered at the December 2016 meeting of the Education Council. The
implications for Western Australian public schools and any issues to be
addressed will be informed by the results of the trial.
