I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following information has been provided to me
by the Minister for Police.
(1)–(4) As the honourable member may be aware, a Primary
Producers Firearms Advisory Board has been created to provide advice to
the state government on proposals related to primary producers in the rewriting
of the Firearms Act. The advisory board is made up of representatives from the Western
Australian Farmers Federation, Pastoralists and Graziers Association of WA,
Vegetables WA, Kimberley Pilbara Cattlemen's Association and Wines of Western
