Please see tabled paper no , for a list of Local Government Authorities that either have not completed their Municipal Heritage Inventories or have not reviewed their Municipal Heritage Inventories in the past four years.
The
Heritage of Western Australia Act 1990
does not provide for penalties to be imposed for non-compliance.
To address this issue, the Heritage Council has this year established a dedicated Local Government Unit and made funding available to assist local governments in the review of their Municipal Inventories. More than thirty local governments are now in the process of undertaking a review.
