(a-b) The Stop Puppy Farming election commitment has undergone public consultation and is under consideration.
Note:- It is already an offence under section 26B of the Dog Act 1976 for a person to transfer ownership of a dog if the dog is not microchipped, unless the dog is exempt under instruction from a veterinarian. This applies to dogs that are less than three months old.
