I refer to the government’s Children First policy that, among other things, aims to ensure that all children have access to the services and support that they need. Will the minister outline the face-to-face services available in the Geraldton and Greenough electorates to families who are seeking counselling assistance for children above the age of six years who have behavioural problems? Ms S.M. McHALE

I suggest that the member for Greenough would be better placed putting that question on notice, so that I can provide him with a very comprehensive list of services. Off the top of my head, I do not carry information on every service that exists in Western Australia. I am happy to provide that information if the member cares to put the question on notice. I take the opportunity to say that our government is addressing the very difficult issues that confront children and their families in our community. As I have said before, our record stands tall in addressing some of the very difficult issues that face children; for example, domestic violence. We have put in place additional services to support women’s refuges and to provide services for children who face domestic violence; likewise with children who are sexually abused, and I focus particularly on Aboriginal children. I will therefore be very happy to answer that question. If the member for Greenough puts it on notice, I will give him a very full answer.
