2. Line-item Community Facilities and Infrastructure - Sport and Recreation on page 220 on 2025-26 Budget Paper No. 2.

4.         $5.1 million was provided to the Department of Communities (Communities) over 2021-22 to 2024-25 to improve access to childcare in the regions.
5.         No.
6.         The State Government provided $250,000 ($150,000 in 2024-25 and $100,000 in 2025-26) to the ‘Assisting Staying in Place to Thrive’ initiative, which aims to support the sustainability of the Staying in Place (SIP) program by:
·         establishing processes and capacity to embed SIP into Linkwest’s core business, including further development of the online platform and resource library;
·         production of a sustainability plan by Linkwest; and
·         start-up support for 10 SIP Hubs across Western Australia.
The $250,000 allocated to the Assisting Staying in Place to Thrive initiative over 2024-25 and 2025-26 is a one-off commitment. The initiative is intended to enable Linkwest to embed SIP as part of its core business, including the development of a sustainability plan, and resources for new and established SIP Hubs.
