For each department, agency or government trading enterprise within the Minister's portfolio of responsibilities, I ask, has any officer above level 3.1 accepted any hospitality, invitation to an event, free accommodation or free travel from a private company or individual, since 1 November 2012, and if so: (a) how many officers have accepted any hospitality, invitation to an event, free accommodation or free travel from a private company or individual; (b) what was the nature of the hospitality, event, free accommodation or free travel, and what is the name of the individual or private company that offered them; (c) what is the estimated individual value of the hospitality, event, free accommodation or free travel; and (d) does the agency have any commercial or financial relationship with the private company or individual, and if so, what is the nature of that commercial or financial relationship?

Services provided by Telstra to WA Police in respect to mobile phones, data services, line rentals are subject to normal commercial arrangements established under whole of government Common Use Agreements. WA Police are also in normal commercial arrangements which allow the installation and operation of radio communications equipment on Telstra owned towers and infrastructure. The access to Telstra facilities is subject to negotiated outcomes between WA Police and Telstra. In a similar arrangement and consistent with the Telecommunications Act Telstra and other carriers have installed some services on a limited number of sites owned by WA Police where co-location of services is the only viable option.

Services are provided by Australia Post, under the conditions of a Common Use Agreement, for the provision of front counter services at Australia Post outlets. These services consist of taking applications for National Police Certificates and Firearm Licences, the verification of identification and the receipting and banking of appropriate fees. WA Police also holds a Common Use Agreement with Australia Post for outgoing mail services.

Ajilon provides application maintenance services under contract 42107 to Business Technology to maintain the existing portfolio of WA Police applications which are in operational use within the WA Police environment. Ajilon also provide project services under Contract 52507 to provide application development and delivery for new systems.
Both of the above services have been established under an open market request process and have been in place for a period in excess of 3 years.
Office of Road Safety
The Office of Road Safety is administratively supported as part of Main Roads WA and as such the response will be included in the Main Roads WA response under the Minister for Transport.
