(1-3) The proposed changes to the Ministerial conditions, including the proponent’s commitments, are outlined in the proponent’s Section 46 Review Document “Review and Consolidation of Environmental Commitments for the Australian Gold Reagents Pty Ltd Sodium Cyanide Manufacture and Transport” and the Environmental Protection Authority’s (EPA) Report and Recommendations “Review of Conditions for the Manufacture and Transport of Sodium Cyanide, Change to Environmental Conditions” (EPA Bulletin 1132). The proponent’s Section 46 document was released for a 4-week public review period on 22 February 2004 and the EPA’s Report and Recommendations was released for comment on 10 May 2004. To date, no conditions have been removed or amended, as the consultation process with decision making authorities has not taken place. It should be noted that the purpose of the review was to simplify the Ministerial conditions by clarifying their intent, removing obsolete or confusing aspects, updating standard conditions and consolidating the conditions into one Statement. No changes to any of Australian Gold Reagents manufacturing, storage or transport operations were proposed as part of the review.
