I refer to the recent tender calling for applications for funding under the Productivity Placement Program, and the reference to a large number of lower priority qualifications that are unlikely to be funded, and I ask -
(1) What are the lower priority qualifications that will not be funded in each of the priority categories of, -
(a) automotive;
(b) building and construction;
(c) engineering and drafting;
(d) metal and mining;
(e) transport trades, storage and associated;
(f) electrical and electronic engineering; and
(g) electrical trades?
(2) On what basis was it decided that these lower priority qualifications would not be funded?

Certificate III in Trenchless Technology
(c)Engineering and Drafting
All eligible qualifications requested in the tender were funded.
(d) Metal and Mining
- Certificate II in Engineering - Production Technology
- Certificate III in Engineering - Production Systems
- Certificate III in Underground Metalliferous Mining
- Certificate III in Resource Processing
- Certificate III in Drilling Operations
- Certificate IV in Surface Extraction Operations
(e) Transport Trades, Storage and Associated
- Certificate II in Transport and Distribution (Coastal Maritime Operations - Coxswain)
- Certificate III in Transport and Distribution (Coastal Maritime Operations - Master Class 5)
- Certificate II in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage)
- Certificate III in Transport and Logistics (Warehousing and Storage)
- Certificate IV in Transport and Logistics (Logistics)
(f) Electrical and Electronic Engineering
All eligible qualifications requested in the tender were funded.

- Certificate II in Technical Security
- Certificate II in Telecommunications Cabling
- Certificate III in Telecommunications Cabling and Customer Premises Equipment
- Certificate IV in Telecommunications Engineering
- Certificate IV in Industrial Electronics and Control
(2) These lower level qualifications were a lower priority in the 2010 tender as the funding of higher level qualifications was prioritised to address the targets specified in the National Partnership Agreement on the Productivity Places Program.
