PROSTITUTION LEGISLATION
I refer the minister to the proposed new prostitution laws. (1) Did the police conduct an analysis, on the basis of experience in the other states, including Victoria, of the potential of the new prostitution laws to lead to an increase in drug and other crimes as well as the possible expansion of organised crime in Western Australia and the consequent impact on demand for police services; and, if not, why not? (2) Did the police provide the minister with a report or briefing of such an analysis; and, if not, why did the minister not request such work be undertaken? (3) If such work was done, will the minister table a copy of the relevant briefing; and, if not, will the minister outline the broad findings of such work? Hon JON FORD
