I refer to the
answer provided to my question without notice 739 asked on 16 September.
(1) Can the minister please provide details of the
missing seven green energy project proposals, noting he made reference to 23
proposals and there are only 16 in the table provided?
(2) What criteria is the government using to
assess eligibility of a green energy project under the Green Energy Approvals
Initiative?
(3) How many FTEs are currently allocated to the
dedicated environmental assessment team and dedicated major projects
facilitation team, respectively, under the initiative?

honourable member for some notice of the question. I provide the following
answer on behalf of the Minister for the Environment.
(1) The 23 proposals stated in the response to
question without notice 739 included seven that were referred prior to the
establishment of the green energy team in 2023 and are actively managed by the green
energy team. The seven projects are listed in tabular form and I seek leave to
have that part of the answer incorporated into Hansard.

(2) The Department of Water and Environmental
Regulation uses the criteria provided by the Green Energy Approvals Initiative,
which is led by the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification under the
Minister for State Development.
(3) Twenty-eight FTEs are allocated to the green
energy environmental assessment team in DWER. The green energy major projects
facilitation team is part of the Department of Energy and Economic
Diversification. Questions regarding FTE for the green energy major projects
facilitation team should be referred to the Minister for State Development.
