(1) Is the Minister aware that the Melville City Council has allowed Multiplex to display an artist’s impression of how the proposed Raffles tower will look from Deep Water Point, that is probably misleading to the public?
(2) If not, will the Minister ask for an independent examination of the drawing to see if it agrees with the view of an engineer in my electorate that the Multiplex image is about 24 metres, or eight levels, lower than it would be when constructed?
(3) If the independent examination agrees the drawings are misleading, will the Minister direct the Melville City Council to reject the submission because it contains false information?

(2) Not Applicable. (3) The member's allegations have been brought to the attention of the Western Australian Planning Commission. The member would be aware that the City of Melville has made its determination on the proposed redevelopment of the Raffles site. It is not within my power, as Minister for Planning and Infrastructure, to direct the City to reconsider its decision based on the accuracy of the artist's impressions the member has referred to.
