I thank the honourable
member for some notice of the question. I provide this answer on behalf of the
Minister for Energy and Decarbonisation.
(1)–(5) Western Power's 2024 Public Lighting Asset Management Strategy includes
a proactive LED replacement program, which expects to complete LED transition
within 10 years. As of January 2025, 61,000 streetlights were LED, and 14,000
of these were installed in the 2023–24 financial year. Western Power's
current plan includes a proactive LED installation of 50,000 LED luminaires
between 2025 and 2027. Volumes beyond 2027 will be subject to further planning.
