Garden Island—Road access planning
467. Hon Phil Twiss to
the minister representing the Minister
Assisting the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the Main
Roads technical note dated 2 July 2025 titled "Road Access Planning for
HMAS Stirling Garden Island".
(1) How did Main Roads provide an amenity
impact assessment without a formal social impact assessment model, and will the
minister table all the underpinning assumptions?
(2) Why were only 30 existing residencies
fronting Lake Richmond assessed for significant impact when more than 400
properties along Parkin Street and Safety Bay Road will also experience
increased volume and significant amenity impact?
(3) Is the freight alignment shown at the
end of the technical note part of an approved restricted access vehicle (RAV)
network?
(4) If not, why was it presented as the
approved HMAS Stirling heavy vehicle access
route?
