(1)-(2) It is expected that a feasibility study regarding the provision of a fast train service between Perth and Bunbury will be available for consideration by Government in August 2009. The purpose of the study is to identify a preferred route to a level where it can be considered for reservation in the Peel Region Scheme and the Greater Bunbury Region Scheme. The study will involve consultation with key stakeholders including Local Government Authorities along the route, Main Roads WA, Bunbury Port Authority, State Forest Commission and other affected agencies and stakeholders.
