486. Hon SALLY TALBOT to the
Attorney General:
I refer to the trial operation about to be conducted in the
south west by the WA Sheriff's Office in which officers will be
travelling from Perth and clamping wheels and removing licence plates of fine
defaulters.
(1) When will the trial start?
(2) Where will it operate?
(3) How long will it last?
(4) How many fine defaulters are likely to be caught in the
operation?
(5) What is the cost of the trial operation?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) The trial commenced on Monday, 5 May 2014.
(2) The trial
will operate in Bunbury and a number of towns in the south west and Peel
regions of the state.
(3) The initial operation will last five days, with the
intent to conduct similar operations as required.
(4) Nine.
(5) The additional costs associated with the operation are $6
