I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1)-(3) From Monday to Sunday, security at Whitfords station is rostered as follows: a mobile patrol vehicle with two transit guards patrols the railway from Clarkson to Perth from 6.00 am until the last train at night; a customer service assistant is resident at the Whitfords station from 5.00 am until 2.30 pm each day; and two transit guards are based at the Whitfords station from 2.30 pm until the last train at night. From Monday to Friday, a car park attendant is based at the station car park from 7.00 am until 9.00 pm. Closed-circuit television coverage of all stations, operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, is recorded and can be viewed from the central monitoring room located at the Perth station. Whitfords station and surrounds are well lit, which assists with night-time vision for security cameras. Transit guards on all trains terminating at Whitfords station conduct random inspections of the facility, and an emergency telephone is located on the platform and answered at the central monitoring room, which is attended 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
