I refer to per capita average residential water demand reduction targets referred to in the
Water Corporation's Water Forever Whatever the Weather – A 10-year plan for Western Australia
, dated June 2012, and ask —
(1) Using a similar accounting method as used for the targets in the document, what is Perth's current average annual per capita residential scheme water use? (Please provide the most recent data available.)
(2) What is Perth's current average annual per capita residential scheme water use, exclusive of water used to supply commerce, industry, agriculture, parks, water treatment and fire fighting activities? (Please provide the most recent data available.)
(3) How does the answer to (2) compare to the priority action called for in the State Water Plan 2007, which was for a reduction in Perth average annual per capita residential scheme water use to 'less than 100 kilolitres per person' by 2011?
(4) If the answer to (2) is a figure greater than 100 kilolitres, why was the State Water Plan 2007 target not met?
