(1) I have had the issues raised by Mr Forbes investigated. The Water Corporation has responsibly managed and will continue to responsibly manage noise emanating from the waste water treatment plant. In this regard the corporation’s investigations to date indicate that construction of a bund will not be required. (2) The only commitment with respect to vehicle noise that the Water Corporation has made to Mr Forbes is that it will comply with the relevant noise regulations. The corporation has also advised Mr Forbes that in keeping with the intent of the noise regulations it will endeavour to limit biosolids trucks leaving the site prior to 7.00 am. This it has done. (3) The corporation has a closed-circuit television system that monitors entry on a 24-hour basis. There is also an after-hours security card system for access. (4) A representative from my office has met with Mr Forbes and the issues raised have been thoroughly investigated.
