(5) Fifteen additional public Mental Health beds are currently being constructed by Ramsay Health Care Ltd and are due for completion in December 2008. The remaining non mental health public bed requirements will be met through the Stage 1 redevelopment.
The business case for the Government's contribution to the capital cost for the redevelopment has been approved in principle subject to certain issues, specified by the Expenditure Review Committee (ERC), being completed. Based on endorsement by ERC in mid-2008, the construction work of the Stage 1 redevelopment is due for completion at this stage in mid 2011.
