I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question. The following information has been provided to me
by the Minister for Transport.
(1)–(3) The
member, in his original question without notice 140, asked specifically about ''relocation
to lot 3 Buller Road, Waroona''. As
answered yesterday, the telephone conversation and subsequent email to which
the member is referring were not specific to ''relocation to lot 3
Buller Road, Waroona''. On 13 July 2018, the chair of the Peel
Development Commission requested a meeting regarding Forrestfield–Airport
Link's spoil disposal not specific to lot 3 Buller Road, Waroona. As
outlined in question without notice 140, the minister declined the meeting and
requested that the Public Transport Authority respond directly to the PDC. A telephone
conversation occurred on 6 September 2018 between PTA and PDC, the points of
which were confirmed in an email from the PTA to the PDC on 11 September 2018.
This email was tabled in the Legislative Council on 12 March 2019 in response
to question without notice 140 and again in response to the member's
question of 7 May 2019. The CEO of the PDC then spoke to the minister's
principal policy adviser via a telephone call confirming the contents of the
PTA's 11 September 2018 email to the PDC. The points of this telephone
conversation were confirmed in an email from the PDC dated 12 September 2018,
which was not specific to lot 3 Buller Rd, Waroona. The minister was not
specifically briefed on the email as it mirrors the contents of the earlier
email from the PTA to the PDC, which was tabled on 12 March 2019.
(4) Given the breadth of this
question, the member is asked to put it on notice.
