I refer to the Commonwealth Government's target of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by between 26 per cent and 28 per cent by 2030, and I ask: (a) has the Minister discussed these targets with any Ministers of the Commonwealth: (i) if yes, on what dates and with which Ministers have you held these discussions; and (ii) who was present at these meetings?

(a)(i) I was part of a meeting of State and Federal Environment Ministers on both 15 December 2015 and 6 May 2016, at which a briefing was provided and discussion had on the outcomes of the 21 st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change in Paris.
(ii) This question should be directed to the Commonwealth Government, as the Environment Minister’s meetings were both chaired and organised by the then Commonwealth Minister for Environment, Hon Greg Hunt MP.
