338. Hon PETER COLLIER to the
Leader of the House representing the Minister for Sport and Recreation:
I refer to the $1.2 million debt that is owed to the state
government by Rugby WA.
(1) Will the government be providing any reduction in the
debt that is owned by Rugby WA?
(2) If yes to (1), what reduction will be provided; and, if
not, why not?
(3) Given the
current challenges as a result of COVID-19, will the state government be
providing any rent relief for Rugby WA; and, if not, why not?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question.
(1) No.
(2) The debt
was reviewed in 2019 and a new cash flow was set, which reduced payment for
2020 from $450 000 to $100 000.
(3) Yes. VenuesWest has a policy position in relation to the
provision of rent relief.
