Does the member have any particular
school in question? The Department of Education, the director general and those
who work under the director general are very clear in their obligations. A
number of checks, policies and rules are in place to provide a safe environment
for our children. Can I guarantee it is 100 per cent foolproof? Of course I cannot.
No-one can in any industry. But I can tell the member that there is very
robust, clear sight, from the director general down, of the obligations and
what needs to be done in circumstances in which children may be in harm's
way.
