Some notice has been given of the question. (1) What is the estimated rise in education expenditure in the next financial year? (2) Does the minister expect to be able to meet the three per cent efficiency savings listed in last year’s budget for the next financial year? (3) No. The 2009–10 shortfall of $51.9 million will be made up equally over three financial years commencing 2011–12 at a rate of $17.3 million per annum.
