I refer to the Laverton hospital replacement/rebuild
development, which I last asked about in June 2022, and the reply given indicated
that the allocation of $23.5 million for the hospital project would be
insufficient due to current building market conditions and that WA Country
Health Service is working with the Department of Health to develop a funding
strategy; as the residents of Laverton are still waiting for an affirmative
response from government on a start date, I ask: (a) what is the status of the proposed hospital build and has a funding strategy been completed and full funding secured; (b) if actual hospital construction has not commenced, when will it commence; (c) will the Minister again commit to improving consultation to keep the community informed about the progress of the hospital project as the previously outlined strategy has failed; and (d) if yes to (c), what new improved gold standard form will that take?
