I refer to the rail crossing at Redmond, near Albany where 29 year old Cailee Mansell, the mother of three children, was killed on 16 July 2025. Allegedly, line markings on the road at this crossing were faded and worn and warning signs were missing and I ask : (a) What is the Government doing to improve safety at this railway level crossing so that it complies with Main Roads WA standards ; (b) What is the government doing to upgrade the signs at all level crossings to the current Main Roads Policy, adopted in 2017 ; and (c) What is the inspection and maintenance regime for ensuring signs and lines are properly maintained to ensure level crossings are safe?
