Standing Committee on Environment and Public Affairs — municipal waste management report — government response
I refer the minister to the daily notice paper, which she will have in front of her, and particularly to the final page, which is titled “Government Responses”, and specifically to the section titled “Standing Committee on Environment and Public Affairs: Report 16, Municipal Waste Management in Western Australia”. (1) Is it correct that the Minister for Environment’s response, which was due on 19 September 2009, is still outstanding? (2) If so, why, and what action will she take to rectify this situation? Hon DONNA FARAGHER

(1)-(2) That is correct. My response was delayed because I wanted to get some more information from the chairman of the Waste Authority. I have now received that information and that information is now in the response. I have approved the response. It is just going through its final stages. I expect to table it next week.
