Electronic monitoring
536. Ms Libby Mettam to
the Minister for Corrective Services:
I have a
supplementary question. Does the minister stand by his claim of April this year
when he said, "there's no place in Western Australia where electronic
monitoring cannot be done" and there was a promise to make this monitoring
mandatory?

AnswerView source ↗

I am not sure that I
said that last bit; I did say the first bit. There is no place in Western
Australia where electronic monitoring cannot be done. Monitoring is done across
Western Australia by a team of adult community custodial officers who are
stationed in the State Operations Command Centre with the police 24/7.
