TAFE — WORK PLACEMENTS
1123. Hon SALLY TALBOT to the
Leader of the House representing the Minister for Training and Workforce
Development:
(1) Is a work placement a requirement to pass some
certificate courses offered at TAFE?
(2) Is the work placement organised by the TAFE?
(3) What
contingencies are there for students who are unable to find work placements or
not able to get enough hours at their placement, particularly for regional
students?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for some notice of this
question.
(1) Yes.
(2)–(3)
Some students arrange the work placement to suit their own circumstances.
Alternatively, the work placement is organised by the TAFE. However, where this
is not able to occur, simulated work environments can potentially be delivered
at the college.
