Fuel supply—Orange school bus
contractors
125. Hon Rob Horstman to
the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister
for Transport:
I refer to reports
that current fuel shortages in some regional towns are likely to soon prevent
orange school buses from completing their routes, leaving regional students
stranded.
(1) What actions has the department taken
to ensure adequate fuel supply for orange school bus contractors?
(2) How many school bus routes have been
affected in the past week?
(3) If contractors are unable to meet
their contractual obligations due to fuel shortages that are no fault of their
own, will their contract payments be honoured or compensation paid?

honourable member for some notice of the question and provide the following
answer on behalf of the Minister for Transport.
(1)–(3) To
