821. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the
parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
(1) What
safety assessments did Main Roads WA undertake prior to approving billboards
alongside freeways?
(2) Will the
minister table all reports or assessments that were relied upon to make the
decision to trial the billboards?
(3) If no to (2), why not?

(1) Main Roads
has developed ''Advertising Sign Guidelines — A Guide to the
Management of Roadside Advertising'' to safely manage all types of
advertising signs that are installed along highways, main roads and freeways.
(2) The
document is publicly available on the Main Roads public website; however, for
members' convenience, a copy of this publicly available report is
tabled.
(3) Not applicable.
