(1) Native title claims in Western Australia settled by negotiation since the introduction of the Native Title Act 1993 are: Mark Anderson on behalf of the Spinifex people - the Spinifex native title claim; Clarrie Smith and Others - the Nharnuwangga Wadjari Ngarlawangga native title claim; Palmer Gordon Ngalpil and Others - the Tjurabalan native title claim; and Jimmy Brown on behalf of the Kiwirrkurra people - the Kiwirrkurra native title claim. (2) Active negotiations for the above native title claims commenced and were finalised as follows: Spinifex negotiations commenced in 1996 and were finalised in October 2000; Nharnuwangga negotiations commenced in November 1999 and were finalised in July 2000; Tjurabalan negotiations commenced in February 2001 and were finalised in July 2001; Kiwirrkurra negotiations commenced in April 2001 and were finalised in September 2001.
