Dept Planning & Infrastructure -
(a) The Department for Planning and Infrastructure (DPI) and the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) each have a website.
(b) The DPI and the WAPC are not aware of the creation of any new websites.
(c) A website is not a discrete facility.  It provides a single 'window' for accessing content and transactions provided by a variety of systems and authors. The level of integration of a system with the website varies significantly and the boundary between what constitutes the website versus the system components is not easily resolved.  Costs are therefore shared across a wide cross-section of the agency and are not assigned to categories clearly identified as 'website'.
(d) Neither DPI nor the WAPC requested website funding increases in time for the 2008 mid-year review.
Main Roads WA -
(a) Two websites -
http://www.mainroads.wa.gov.au
http://www.transscan.com
(NB: There is an additional domain
http://www.mrwa.wa.gov.au
which redirects to
http://www.mainroads.wa.gov.au
)
(b) None
(c) As of November 25 2008, there has been a once off allocation of $235 000 to be spent on redevelopment of the Main Roads Internet website (
http://www.mainroads.wa.gov.au
) this financial year. There is also an allocation of $742 for the production of the Transscan website content for this financial year. A sum of
$30 838 is allocated for software and hardware licences, as well as website domain name registration.
Software support effort for the websites is conducted as necessary to keep them functional. The amount of support required varies and is drawn from funds used for maintenance of all Main Roads software systems, not a specific allocation. Similarly, there is no specific allocation of funds for the creation of website content, beyond that outlined for Transscan above, or other web related purposes.
(d) No funding increase requested.
Disability Services Commission -
(a) Three websites are maintained by the Commission -
