representing the Minister Assisting the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the website of the
Department of Transport in relation to the licensing of off-road vehicles.
(1) When was it
identified that the Department of Transport was charging registration fees
higher than allowed by Western Australian law?
(2) On what date was this issue
identified and how was it identified?
(3) How many registrations have
been processed that are now subject to a partial refund?
(4) On what date did the $45 fee
commence being charged?

some notice of the question. I have been advised of the following by the
Department of Transport.
(1) It was on 5 August 2024.
(2) It was on 5
August 2024 in an email from the Office of the Minister Assisting the Minister
for Transport alerting the Department of Transport to the misalignment between
the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries prescribed
fees.
(3) There are 7 433 registrations.
(4) It was on 1 July 2022.
