I refer to the AvonLink train service. (1) Why has the sale of MultiRider 40 tickets been discontinued for the AvonLink service when they provide more affordable travel for users than the MultiRider 10 tickets? (2) How does increasing fares through the discontinuation of the MultiRider 40 ticket, or direct fare increases, facilitate the Government’s initiative to reduce the use of private transport in favour of public transport when it is cheaper for travellers to car pool than to travel to the AvonLink service? (3) Will the Government consider increasing the public transport subsidy for the AvonLink service? The PRESIDENT: Does the parliamentary secretary have a similar problem? Hon KEN TRAVERS

Yes, I do not seem to have an answer - Hon Barbara Scott: They don’t care about country people. Hon KEN TRAVERS: Settle down! What a pathetic comment from someone who sat on the back bench and did nothing when her party destroyed the regions. God help us! Several members interjected. The PRESIDENT: Order, members! I will give the parliamentary secretary an opportunity to respond if an answer arrives. Hon KEN TRAVERS: The Prospector was a lovely train. I enjoyed taking it to Kalgoorlie. It is a wonderful train, as is the AvonLink .
