Noting that the Housing Authority has been involved in the building of units and provision of land for 13 of the 18 retirement villages owned and operated by Retirees WA, I ask: (a) what is the name and location of the 13 retirement villages that the Housing Authority has been involved in with Retirees WA; (b) for each village outlined in (a): (i) how many units has the Housing Authority built; (ii) what area of land was provided by the Authority to Retirees WA; (iii) when were the units built; (iv) what was the total cost of building the units; and (v) what was the total cost of other incidental and legal costs, including any transfer fees; (c) has Retirees WA concluded paying the Authority for the cost of building and transferring ownership of all of the units; (d) if yes to (c), how much has been paid by Retirees WA for the units in each village; and (e) if no to (c), how much is outstanding by Retirees WA for each village?

(c) Retirees WA has paid the Housing Authority for the building costs of all units. In 1995, under the original agreement between the State Housing Commission and the Australian Pensioners’ League WA Division (Inc), the State Housing Commission retained the titles to the land. Therefore, ownership of the units will not be transferred to Retirees WA.
