NORTH DANDALUP RESEARCH
CENTRE
1046. Hon COLIN HOLT to the Minister for Regional Development:
I refer to question without notice
931 asked by me on 3 September. The minister's response confirmed that
the Peel Development Commission provided
approximately $120 000 to support initial site analysis, design and cost– benefit
analysis.
(1) How much of this funding was
used to employ external consultants?
(2) Was a business
case or project brief presented by the proponents of the project before this
money was expended; and, if so, will the minister please table those documents?
(3) Will the minister please table
any design works or analysis?
(4) Will the minister please table
the cost–benefit analysis for the project?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for the question.
(1) The total amount was spent on
external consultants.
(2) The business
case was considered and approved by the Barnett government. Should the member
request it, we can seek approval from the Leader of the Opposition for these
documents to be released.
(3)–(4) I
can confirm that I have been provided with the design works and cost–benefit
analysis documents. I am prepared to give the member an undertaking that I will
review these documents and table them once I have had an opportunity to
consider them.
