I thank the member for some notice of this question, which I answer on behalf of the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Education and Training. (1)-(2) The initial budget for the hospitality training institute was $5.5 million. The current estimate of $7.859 million includes $1.2 million for site works, which has already been budgeted, leaving a difference of $1.159 million. The extra cost is a combination of additional facilities being added to the project and more detailed financial analysis. The project at its current cost estimate can be funded from the existing capital works program, but has not yet been submitted to the minister for approval. (3) No; capital works expenditure does not impact on recurrent costs.
