The Minister for Culture and the Arts has provided the following reply - (1) No. (2) Since 1 November 2004, 52 staff have resigned from the State Library of Western Australia. As a guide, in 2005-06 there was a turnover of approximately eight per cent. (3) The library does not loan Western Australian heritage materials, including, rare books, legal deposit items, newspapers, serials, ephemera, photographs, maps and original materials of any description. The only materials loaned are duplicate copies of books that have not been received as legal deposits and duplicate copies of oral history transcripts. (4) The J.S.
