(1) Can the Minister advise for each portfolio agency within their responsibilty, what expenditure was incurred in supporting external and internal research, innovation and/or science related projects for the years 2017-18 and 2018-19? (2) Can the Minister advise for each portfolio agency within their responsibilty what funding has been allocated towards supporting external and internal research, innovation and/or science related projects for 2019-20 and 2020-21? (3) For each of (1) and (2) can the Minister provide a break down of expenditure/funding between the following recipient categories: (a) Universities; (b) State government agencies; (c) Private organisations; (d) Cooperative Research Centres; and (e) All Other Categories?

Therefore, it is not currently possible to identify these transactions without significant use of department resources and time to interrogate each transaction across approximately 600 projects across all years.
