Domestic gas obligations—Woodside
827. Hon Dr Steve Thomas to the Leader of the House representing the Minister for
State Development:
I refer to the
August 2024 final report of the Economics and Industry Standing Committee,
entitled Domestic Gas Security in a Changing World ,
for which the Cook government supported eight of the 30 recommendations in its
response of 19 September 2024 in tabled paper 3172 in the Legislative Assembly,
and as at 13 October 2025, given the Cook government supported recommendation 2
of the report stating that the Western Australian Government will work "to
develop a plan to acquit the Pluto domestic gas obligations, including the
modernisation of arrangements", I ask:
(1) In the last 12 months how many meetings has
the Premier or the Premier's office had with Pluto's managers in relation to
its domestic gas obligations and on what dates were they held?
(2) Has any agreement been reached on the
"modernisation of arrangements"?
(3) Has any agreement been reached with the Pluto
project on acquitting its domestic gas obligations?
(4) If no agreement has been reached, by what date
is one expected to be reached?
