refer to Government Regional Officer Housing (GROH), and I ask: (a) is the GROH rent-setting framework currently being reviewed; (b) if yes to (a): (i) what are the terms of the review; (ii) what is the anticipated timeframe for the review; (iii) who is conducting the review; and (iv) who is being consulted in the review; and (c) if no to (a): (i) why not; (ii) will the Minister undertake a review; and (iii) if no to (c)(ii), why not?

(a)          The Department of Communities continually monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of all GROH policies. The GROH Tenant Rent Setting Framework Policy is being reviewed as part of this.
(b) (i)      The Department of Communities is currently reviewing the policy to consider:
a. The method of the rent calculation;
b. the assessed amenity level of properties; and
c. town discounts.
(ii)     This review will be completed by the end of 2018.
(iii)    This review is being conducted by the Department of Communities in consultation with GROH client agencies.
(iv)   A working group comprised of the Department of Treasury; Department of  Education; WA Police Force; Department of Justice; and the Department of Communities has been established to progress this review. All the other               agencies involved in the GROH program have been kept informed of the progress of this review and given the opportunity to provide input.
